How does paying work?

You top up a balance of credits and each conversion spends a few of them. There is no subscription and no plan per format: the same balance covers every group in the catalog.

Why credits instead of a monthly plan?

A plan charges you for the months you do not convert anything. Credits charge for work that was done. Most people who need a converter need it in bursts, and this is the pricing that matches that.

What does one file cost?

From 1 to 5 credits, depending on what kind of file it is. Size does not change the price: a small document and a large one cost the same, because the work is the same. The pricing page lists the cost for every group.

Is there anything free?

The first 5 conversions are free and do not need a card. They exist so you can check the output quality on your own files before paying anything.

What is the smallest top-up?

250 credits for €3.60. That is the smallest amount the payment system accepts.

What if a conversion fails?

The credits go straight back to your balance. You are charged for a file we handed back, not for an attempt.

Which currency am I charged in?

Prices are shown in your currency for reading, and the charge itself is made in EUR. The checkout page states this on its own line before you confirm.

How large can a file be?

Up to 256 MB per file.

Yes, up to 10 files in one batch. Each file in the batch is priced on its own, by its type.

How long is the result available?

For 60 minutes after the conversion succeeds. After that it is wiped from disk automatically, so download it while the job is still on screen.

What happens to the file I upload?

The original is removed the moment the conversion succeeds. The result is removed when it expires. Your history keeps the format, the size and the status of a job, never the file itself.

Do you look at what I convert?

No. Nothing about the content of a file is stored or inspected, which is also why we cannot recover a file for you after it has expired.

47 formats and 284 directions, across images, documents, audio, video, data and fonts. The catalog on the home page is the live list: if a direction is shown there, the engines run it today.

What actually does the conversion?

The same tools a studio would run locally: sharp for images, LibreOffice for documents, ffmpeg for audio and video, and our own converters for data and fonts. No model guesses at your file.

My format is not in the catalog. Can you add it?

Accepted Answer

The catalog lists only what the engines really do, so if a direction is missing we cannot do it today rather than doing it badly. Tell us which one you need and we will say whether it is realistic.
